Event Description – Codemotion, the event open to all programming languages and technologies

Codemotion is an event open to all programming languages and technologies. It evolved from Javaday Roma, which, after four editions, transformed into a gathering focused on the entire field of programming.

The first edition of Codemotion took place in March 201 and attracted over 2,000 participants, 25 communities, and 22 sponsoring companies.

During Codemotion 2011, there were 65 talks on: gaming, mobile, hacking, operating systems, tools, what’s hot, programming languages, and innovation.

The second edition of Codemotion will take place on March 23 and 24, 2012, with two major changes: the event will be extended from one to two days, and it will be held simultaneously in Rome and Madrid.

The Codemotion program will be determined through a public Call for Papers open to everyone. Proposals will be selected based on an evaluation conducted by representatives of the official communities, both those related to various programming languages and those related to software development.

During Codemotion, participants will be able to submit their resumes to sponsoring companies to explore new career opportunities.

A program is currently being developed to facilitate interactions between developers and startups with the aim of creating synergies that foster innovation.

Codemotion will be hosted by the School of Computer Engineering at Roma Tre University.
Codemotion will take place in Rome on March 23 and 24, 2012.
