Recently AWS has opened its very advanced DNS service (AWS Route53) to the purchase and transfer of domains, has activated a file sharing and collaboration service (AWS Zocalo is now called AWS WorkDocs) and today, as could be expected, also given the powerful email messaging tool (AWS SES) it has opened in preview an email and calendar service (AWS WorkMail) usable through all desktop and mobile clients. There is, it seems, for now no web interface to access the WorkMail service.<\/p>\n
AWS’s push toward SaaS services is creating a price war in SaaS services that are very useful to businesses of all sizes.<\/p>\n
Let’s compare the prices of the three big cloud companies that offer SaaS services:<\/p>\n
AWS, Microsoft, Google<\/p>\n
AWS – $4 per user per month with 50GB of space per user<\/p>\n
Microsoft – $4 per user per month with 50GB of space per user<\/p>\n
Google – $5 per user per month with 30GB of space per user<\/p>\n
It must be said that both in the case of Microsoft and Google the price includes a series of additional features, also because on these types of services they have much more experience and seniority.<\/p>\n
The big advantage will be for users who will see a further depreciation of the market of classic hosting providers who will be forced to offer much cheaper mailbox management.<\/p>\n
